Sell Your Home in Style With Vizzvox
There’s a good article in the Sunday New York Times by Anne Eisenberg about Vizzvox.com, a website that, among other things, lets home sellers create online multimedia presentations about homes they are selling, complete with the home’s address as the domain name.
For $149 a year, Vizzvox provides the user with hosting, domain name, and software to help realtors (or anyone, for that matter) create sites that showcase the home’s appeal. One realtor in California sold a home after only one week, thanks to her presentation. After that, she sold another in a matter days using Vizzvox, in spite of a major slowdown in the housing market.
This is far less expensive than some high-end marketing studios that offer high-definition tours of homes and panoramic 360-degree photos. As stated in the Times article, Richter Studios in Chicago said the cost for a three-minute high-definition video of a home usually cost $6,000 to $15,000.
Although there is a massive difference between $149 and $6,000, the difference in quality can be quite high as well. For an extra $120, Vizzvox will provide a script and a professional voiceover for their presentation if the realtor provides notes and pictures.
This is just one aspect of Vizzvox.com’s services, which include help with producing video ads to use on Google AdWords, multimedia stories for business sites, as well as narration on eBay.
While high-end homes may benefit from the kind of marketing offered by companies like Richter, Vizzvox does offer something for the tech-savvy homeseller to work with. It could make a big difference in today’s housing market.
