Todd is one of the first new clients to Blogitive. I took a look at his site and was so impressed I thought I would do a quick review of the site myself.

First, the design is really nice and simple. It’s professional without being flashy. It has good content, both text and image. It’s easy to see where to schedule his services, and it’s even got a nice friendly picture of Todd.

I have never actually needed a court reporter, but if I did and I saw this site, I would probably go with Todd’s service.

Moving on to the SEO side of things, I see that Todd actually did a great job in targeting many different cities. For example, check out his court reporting services in San Diego page. It’s actually part of a series of pages Todd created to rank for all the different cities.

The one thing I would add here is that he should cross link those pages more, and come up with one page just to target the term San Diego Court Reporting Services, and then point all those pages back to that main page. Todd should also work on adding a little more unique content on the location pages.

In other SEO items, the title is decent, although I think it could be improved a bit and look more natural. The meta data is good. It looks like Todd’s using Google Analytics, which is a good idea, but I did notice that there is a ugly bit of Javascript early on the source code. That would ideally be moved off the page, or least placed a little lower.

There is some room for improvements on the Alt tags as well. Having an alt tag on the link to the home page saying something link, “court report Todd Oliva home page” would be a good idea.
